RETYRA®Let’s talk

THE FACTORY / A REPEATABLE INDUSTRIAL MODEL

One factory model.
Nordic ambition.

A modular facility designed for continuous production, predictable output and replication across locations. RETYRA Group is developing its first factory in Billingsfors, Sweden, and qualifying the next plant in Norway.

PLANNED DESIGN CAPACITY / PER FACTORY

~20,000tonnes of tyre input / year
~60tonnes of daily throughput
24/7designed for continuous operation
2 linesdesigned-in redundancy

Design figures from RETYRA’s factory presentation. These describe the planned factory model, rather than current production.

01 / THE MATERIAL JOURNEY

Engineered to keep
resources in use.

01

Prepare the input

Tyre granulate is prepared for a uniform, consistent feed.

02

Convert without oxygen

Continuous thermochemical conversion breaks down the material in an oxygen-free environment.

03

Separate and recover

Oil, carbon and gas are separated into usable output streams.

04

Return the energy

Recovered process gas supplies energy within the plant’s internal loop.

02 / INDUSTRIAL OUTPUTS

Recovered materials.
Established applications.

The design targets material recovery of at least 85% at full operation, with recovered gas reused for energy.

01 / OUTPUT
rCB

Recovered carbon black

A recovered material for rubber and plastics.

02 / OUTPUT
TPO

Tyre pyrolysis oil

A circular feedstock for refining and chemical industries.

03 / OUTPUT
GAS

Process gas

Recovered gas reused inside the plant to supply process energy.

03 / DESIGNED FOR RELIABILITY

Built to operate.
Designed to replicate.

Industrial discipline

  • Continuous production with twin-line redundancy
  • Standardised process units and critical systems
  • Technology sourced from established suppliers
  • Capital and operating costs evaluated before investment

A modular architecture

  • Modular reactor systems and infrastructure
  • Capacity that can be scaled to suit each site
  • Integration with local industry and logistics
  • A repeatable design for future locations

04 / PROJECTED RESOURCE IMPACT

More recovery.
Less waste.

The factory model aims to reduce tyre incineration, substitute fossil-based raw materials and reuse gas for process energy.

~55,000
tonnes CO₂e / year
projected reduction at full capacity

RETYRA project estimate from the supplied factory presentation. The presentation does not include the calculation methodology or independent verification; realised impact will depend on operating conditions and the comparison baseline.

05 / FROM BUILD TO OPERATION

A phased path
to production.

0–6 MONTHS

Site preparation

Permits, procurement and preparation.

6–12 MONTHS

Build and install

Construction and installation of process equipment.

9–12 MONTHS

Commission

Testing, commissioning and production ramp-up.

12+ MONTHS

Operate

Move towards full industrial production.

Indicative build cycle from the factory presentation, measured from start of build. Phases overlap. Actual schedules depend on the site, permits, procurement and commissioning.
